The Senior Advisory Council

The Senior Advisory Council oversees all activities of the senior adults at Heritage UMC. 

                                              Activities include:  

"The Life Lighters"   -   meets every third Tuesday at 11 a.m.  There is a program and a covered dish luncheon afterwards. 

"The Walking Group" -  meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8 a.m.

May 4th - Senior Sunday- All during the month of May senior members will be sharing faith stories as part of morning worship

May 20th Life Lighters Program- Laura Robertson, "Emergency Preparedness"

April 9th - Barn Dinner Theatre, buffet lunch and show "The Service at Rocky Bluff".  How does a church keep a pastors search committee from ever coming back?  Seeing The Service at Rocky Bluff will let you discover one way.  This is a musical play about friendship and how we influence each other for good.  It's full of old time Gospel lmusic with a few surprises.

May 17th - Roundtrip motorcoach transporation from Lynchburg, VA to Shatley Springs.  Lunch at the Shatley Springs Inn.  Visit Fresco Paintings at churches West Jeffersono & Glendale Springs.  Tourstart breakfast.

June 21st - Shenandoah Valley Farmland Tour - lunch and tour, $42.00 per person.

July 9th - Ferrum College, VA - lunch and play, $50.00 per person.

October 18th - Graves Mountain Lodge, VA - lunch, crafts, apple festival, $50.00 per person.
