BIBLE STUDIES
Begin January 18th
Wednesday Morning 10:00 am
James: Mercy Triumphsby Beth Moore; Leader: Beth Fowler
James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. And, in the process, learn how you can put your own faith into action. If you can join the Bible Study please contact Beth Fowler 385-6726 or gnbfowler@verizon.net. Childcare will be provided. With special thanks, this Bible Study was purchased for our church library in memory of Jean Eberhardt by Lucy Eberhardt Breeden.
Wednesday Evening
5:45 pm - 7:30 pm
Dinner at 5:45 pm, please call the office by noon Tuesday to sign up.
Small Groups begin at 6:30 pm
Acts for Everyone by N.T. Wright; Leaders: Pastor Will Montgomery & Gerald Bowles. Study books are $8, but are not required to attend. January 18th – April 18th
We will work our way through the Book of Acts using N.T. Wright’s study. Ever wonder what the early church was like or what we can learn from this amazing book? We invite you to join us in digging into the Book of Acts.
Stuck: the places we get stuck and the God who sets us free by Jennie Allen; Leader: Pastor Megan. Study books are $7. January 18th-March 14th Jennie Allen describes her study by saying, "We are often so stuck in invisible struggles in our hearts and minds, we barely have space for God. These deep struggles, these stuck places, are familiar to every one of us: brokenness, anger, discontentment, fear, and sadness. Stuck takes on these struggles within us so that we can encounter God. Because until we recognize that we are stuck and in need of God, we will miss what God has for us.” We hope you will join us for this DVD- based study.
How to Reach Your Full Potential for God by Charles Stanley; Leaders: Linda McConnell and Teresa Moss. Study books are $8. January 18-April 25
"Things are never going to change" or "This is just the way I am" are just a few of the damaging lies Christians believe about themselves, their situations, and their walk. In this powerful and inspiring message, readers reconnect with the grand vision God had when He uniquely created them. They learn that regardless of setbacks, failures, and frustrations, there is a better path based in His Word, one that's full of freedom and purpose.
All study groups will not meet on Ash Wednesday or the week of Spring break.
