Pastor Gilbert E. White
Born and raised in Oklahoma. Joined the U.S. Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 20 years. I am married to Sharon Sweet and we have one daughter, Melinda and we have one grandson, Blake. In 1999 I answered the call of Jesus Christ and began serving as pastor at Bay City UMC for 3 years while attending United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, New Brighton, MN. I graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2003 and we moved to Mississippi and served Mt Carmel UMC, Pleasant Hill UMC & Salem UMC until 2012 when we moved back to Wisconsin and served 5 UMC churches until 2023 when we moved back home to Mississippi. I served Guys Chapel UMC in 2023 for 2 years and now we are here at Heritage UMC. It is with great pleasure to serve alongside the wonderful people here at Heritage UMC. I can truly say that here at Heritage UMC you will find a loving family of God’s children.
